I Stand Up for Dignity
On Mandela Day, join the global Ubuntu movement by reaffirming the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Make your voice count.
Our Purpose
We stand to reaffirm the relevance and urgency of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) through two complementary actions:
Why Now?
Human rights are under constant threat, from war, poverty, discrimination, and indifference.
The UDHR, proclaimed in 1948 after World War II, marked a historic pledge to uphold dignity, freedom, and justice for all.
Over 70 years later, this promise remains unfulfilled.
Ubuntus worldwide unite to make the voice of human dignity heard once again.
Who and When?
WHO?
With Ubuntus from all over the world — young people, educators, activists, community leaders, volunteers, and citizens committed to social justice — united by a common cause: making human dignity a non-negotiable principle.
WHEN?
The challenge will be launched on July 18, 2025, during the Ubuntu United Nations session. The campaign will continue until December 10, 2025 – International Human Rights Day, featuring public sharing events, local mobilization, and the symbolic delivery of letters to State representatives.
